Relief

Joseph R. Biden, Jr. is now President #46 of the United States.

Kamala Harris has made history in so many ways and I couldn’t be more proud to see her smile, her family and her future unfold before us.

The other guy – gone. I will not be talking about him again. Others should treat him the same way that we treat a terrorist that fires into a crowd – you name the victims, not the terrorist.

Those Hurtin’ Albertans

Why can’t Jason Kenney and his friends just get with the program and accept that dirty tar isn’t popular with anyone except those that don’t give a shit about our planet or our future?

Learn the message from yesterday’s speeches – learn how to find some common ground and try to build a relationship rather than threaten trade wars and hostility right from the get go.

It’s embarrassing.

Why We Need a National Pharmaceutical Producer

Here’s some news we could have seen coming from about a million miles away.

Pfizer has ‘paused’ vaccine delivery for Canada for the short term.

Some ‘pundits’ are jumping up and down screaming about how Trudeau failed Canada as a result.

No, no he didn’t.

Canada has the most diversified delivery plan of any OECD country.

Of course, this story couldn’t POSSIBLY be related to that move, right? All companies have the best interests of the public in mind, despite their demands for tax breaks and other concessions. Right?

SAY NO TO TAX CUTS FOR PFIZER AND PETITION CANADA’S GOVERNMENT TO DO WHAT’S BEST FOR CANADIANS, NOT SHAREHOLDERS.

Holding a nation’s economy hostage. Nice.

If anyone needs more evidence that the research, creation and distribution of vaccines and other essential pharmaceuticals should be IN Canada, BY a Canadian publicly-0wned organization and FOR Canadians, I can’t think of a better example.

I’m happy to be proven wrong, but holding a nation of people over the barrel just so you can get more dividends is disgusting.

A Nation of Squealers?

I’m a ‘stay at home’ advocate.

I’m very fortunate. I’ve been working from home for a while, our son is old enough to take care of himself and I don’t have to rely on a third-party to get through a day. Or perform my duties as a parent.

But my heart breaks for the woman who got a ticket because she was ‘seen’ at her mother’s house dropping off her kids to be babysat.

Neighbours ratted her out, resulting in an $880 fine for breaching ‘stay in place’ orders.

What kind of society have we become when our neigbours are committing these kind of crimes against decency?
