Terrible Trump Triangle
Donald Trump’s campaign is using an upside-down triangle as part of his campaign messaging.
Facebook has pulled the ad.
The highly offensive image was used by Nazis to categorize people in concentration camps.
Trump is a terrible POS for allowing this to continue.
Why Does Stephen Harper Hate Canada?
Ghosts of Stephen Harper continue to appear with trade deals and other legal agreements.
We see his poison pill coming to light in the wake of Covid preventions and the possibility of getting sued by a foreign government if we try to bring about controls that might affect our own sovereignty.
The question arises: why do we continue with this nonsense?
Wear a Mask
Surgeons have known this for decades: wash your hands, sterilize what you use and WEAR A FRICKIN MASK.
I’m not saying masks should be mandatory for all citizens at all times, but I AM saying that ALL essential workers – including retail employees, managers and even those who stock the shelves at stores – should have to wear masks.
Imagine how you would feel if you went into an operation and a crew of surgeons weren’t wearing masks because they didn’t feel like it.
And the reality is that when you enter any public place, you should also wear a mask.
SIGNIFICANT research is now showing that wearing masks is vital to reducing the incidence of Covid.
Paired with the data on how the curve seemed to change in response to the mitigation methods, the authors say that face masks are likely the major determinant of how the infection spreads or slows.
“Our study establishes very clearly that using a face mask is not only useful to prevent infected coughing droplets from reaching uninfected persons, but is also crucial for these uninfected persons to avoid breathing the minute atmospheric particles (aerosols) that infected people emit when talking and that can remain in the atmosphere tens of minutes and can travel tens of feet,” said study author Mario Molina in a statement.
Some people have started petitions to make it mandatory for everyone in the public to wear a mask, but if the key people with contact with MANY people aren’t required to wear masks, the exercise would be pointless.
It’s time to insist that essential workers have access to PPE, including comfortable masks, face shields and other protective barriers between them and the public.
Of course, Doug Ford won’t have anything to do with this.
He is wrong. He’s thinking about how people can avoid getting it. However, we need to focus on how to stop SPREADING Covid. This is a fundamental truth that won me over when talking about vaccines (yes, I think they’re valuable and yes, I still think we need full public disclosure concerning ingredients, money spent on them and incident reports, but that’s a topic for another day).
When you invest in protection, you limit the spread of disease.
Is the CBC Stoking the Fires of Conspiracy?
In the early days of … concerns … related to Covid, many conspiracy theories were being thrown around, starting with the ‘origin stories’ associated with the disease.
Which begs the question … why?
Now … the article tries to make clear that the scientist that was visiting Wuhan, China was NOT carrying anything directly related to Covid, but the very nature of the investigation stokes the flames of conspiracy that might threaten to bring this whole ‘lockdown’ thing down.
All you have to do is read some of the more popular comments:
So Canada sends biological samples to Wuhan just months before the pandemic. They are sent on a regular Air Canada flight and at first not even packaged securely. Soon after, the chief Chinese doctor and her students are all sent back to China. And then all documentation of the incident is protected for ‘privacy concerns’ by the government. Are we at all surprised how conspiracy theories are created in Canada ?
People will use this as an excuse to label, attack and villify people that aren’t even remotely related to the Covid virus.
Now … I can’t wait to see what the investigation reveals!
