There seems to be an ominous consistency to the numbering of today’s date, but I suppose that would have been the case with every other month in 2020.

Just me overthinking things …

Mr. Kenney vs China

Jason Kenney has gone ‘Bryan Adams’ and has decided to put the rant in tantrum by picking a fight with China.

The Chinese consulate in Calgary is hitting back against recent criticisms by Premier Jason Kenney, suggesting Alberta’s premier is fighting with “slander and stigma.”

“What a pity when we read the ‘slamming’ remarks of Mr. Premier against China. A large body of facts and data suggest that China did not play down, obfuscate or cover up the dangers posed by the novel coronavirus when it emerged in the Chinese city of Wuhan,” the consulate said in a statement.

“If Mr. Premier did not deliberately turn his head away, these facts and evidence are presenting themselves crystal clearly before his eyes.”

On Wednesday, Kenney sharply criticized China’s handling of the earliest days of the COVID-19 outbreak, warning the country would soon face a “great reckoning” for how it handled the outbreak of the novel coronavirus in the Chinese city of Wuhan.

And I do not think we should just forget this and walk past it,” Kenney told a virtual roundtable hosted by the Washington-based Canadian American Business Council. “There must be some kind of a reckoning. There must be some accountability.

WTF?

This would be like every delivery person for Amazon kicking recipients in the package instead of dropping one off.

Alienating the people that actually have the capacity to dig the world out of this situation does not seem like a good idea.

Elizabeth May’s ‘Best Before’ Date Is Long Past

It’s time Elizabeth May stepped aside. Ideally immediately.

Now’s the time. Get out of the way. Appoint an interim leader.

Things are falling apart for the Green Party in Canada. They are NOT like their European cousins, which is the main reason why they’ve never garnered much traction in Canada (or the US).

I didn’t vote for the Green Party during the last election because of some weird things she said in the run-up to the vote.

We need someone that is 100% about the environment and who doesn’t intermingle God, religion and other personal beliefs with their politics.
