The Lying Conservatives and Trojan Horses

The federal Conservatives tried to sneak one in the other day, trying to control women’s bodies yet again.

This time it was with a private member’s bill from Cathay Wagantall which tries to criminalize abortion … under the guise of sex selection.

Another Trojan Horse from the Conservatives.

Another pack of liars, especially Erin O’Toole.

He claims he supports a woman’s right to choose. But he also supports a private member with their attempts to criminalize abortion, regardless of the scenario.

Conservatives say that they are ready to move on with abortion and let it go.

Obviously, they are wrong on both counts.

We know from these actions that they won’t ignore abortion but probably won’t be able to ignore gay rights, indigenous property, the consumer over big business and so on.

This is the kind of lying nonsense Canadians would have to stomach on a routine basis if the Cons ever got a majority again.

THIS is why electoral reform has to happen in Canada so that the Conservatives have have to actually have a true majority in order to dictate policy again.

If Erin O’Toole is truly ready to move on with abortion and endorses a woman’s right to choose, regardless of the scenario, then he has no choice but to expel Wagantall from the Conservative party.

The Passage: A Disappointment

I held out a little bit of hope for the new media upstart ‘The Passage’.

After seeing a recent article that paints everyone under the sun as a white supremacist, I can’t really endorse them any more.

Labelling anyone that questions the official narrative about Covid, vaccines, and other global issues is just sad.

For years, I’ve raised questions about a wide array of issues. I’m truly hurt that, according to The Passage, this makes me a white supremacist, QAnon, gun-toting moronic libertarian that wants to see all snowflakes melt.

For the record, I consider myself a ‘snowflake’, so I’m perplexed by this broad-stroke approach. I believe in so many progressive issues and that the very survival of the human race and our planet DEPENDS on progressive ideals. After reading The Passage article, I feel like I almost need to apologize for having these beliefs.

I also believe in TRUE science, not the mishmash of garbled profit-maximizing nonsense that’s being rammed down our throats on a daily basis. Science cures and heals. Our world today has spun in the wrong direction, with profits going to the victors, the controllers and the megalomaniacs, leaving most people and the planet damaged in their wakes.

For example, I’m not an anti-vaxxer, but I do believe that all vaccines and other major life-saving treatments should be ‘socialized’ for the broad benefit of the public. Our governments should NOT be spending billions on treatments just so that another CEO can buy another resort in Riviera.

This kind of ‘white labeling’ actually scares me. It worries me.

Furthermore, I’m not going to deny that people are dying in hospital ICUs and steps are needed to protect the general public. However, I believe that at some point a giant rebalance and ‘audit’ has to take place and that a global effort will objectively investigate just what exactly has been happening over the last 18 months or so. We owe it to ourselves and the next generation to understand what we’ve done, right or wrong, and how we should be responding to a pandemic should it happen again in the future.

I do not feel that this makes me a white supremacist.

I am a seeker of truth and I am – at my core – an optomist despite the frequent cynicism I exhibit.

Please tell me I’m wrong.
