Hate speech ≠ free speech.

These folks are one of the reasons we left London, Ontario.

The city was unable to deal with them, arrest them and prosecute them effectively.

They were allowed to rant on city corners in the downtown core and harass people to no end.

Now, they are in court defending their actions as freedom of speech.

Sorry guys: hate speech ≠ free speech.

Also, harassment ≠ free speech.

There are certain minimum levels of social protocol and behaviour and your actions do not constitute an acceptable minimum.

It’s ironic how they were both speechless on the way out of the court offices when members of the media were available to record them.
